Just a little about how I personally organize my medications. Coming from someone that is rather absentminded and full of brain fog.
Step 1: Forget to fill pill sorter
Step 2: Shove all the pill bottles in a drawer
Step 3: Take pills in the morning and then an hour later forget if I have taken them. Ponder this for a bit. Decide if I have or have not.
Step 4: Sometime a week or month later remember to fill that pill sorter.
Step 5: For a entire week remember to take my pills and know that I did.
Step 6: Repeat Step 1.
I honestly, have no idea how I manage to do this to myself on repeat. But I do. Oh, I do.
And then I manage to do what I just did and forget that I have run out of refills. Quickly try to make a doctors appointment only to find out, of course, that is not at all humanly possible ‘quickly’. Make one for February. Determine this will Not work for me. Call back and explain how this is impossible. Figure out another doctor in that office for them to squeeze me in with a telephone call appointment for refills.
I also my a tuberculosis test so I could go on my MS medication and promptly forgot to go to it. So I had to today make another one. Apparently, this is a test you must ensure to have done before you go one these meds. Anyway, I am sure the second go around I will remember to get to it.
Thank goodness I have such a remarkable memory for these things. Hopefully, I will remember I have a phone call with that doctor tomorrow for refills or I am in a tricky spot.
