When was I diagnosed with Fibromyalgia?
I had joint hypermobility syndrome that caused a lot of joint pain when I was a young kid. That then morphed into Fibromyalgia with additional issues and more pain.
I went to the doctor frequently as a kid. Because I actually had a high ANA count as well which made them speculate for some time I may have Lupus. But it was ruled out. Or it wasn’t rule In, anyway.
So I had joint related pain as a child. And all over pain as a teen and into my 20’s. With fatigue and pervasive insomnia. Along with IBS and some chemical sensitivities. Right around my diagnosis I got migraines. I developed allodynia ( a very sensitive skin nerve pain). I had my first bout of Costochondritis (chest wall pain), that lasted months because I was aggravating it constantly. Very typical brain fog as well. And fatigue.
